DAY 1
On the first day, due to the ease and location of our houses (Praia da Feiticeira and Julião), we recommend traveling around the island to the south and choosing some beaches such as: Praia do Julião, Praia do Oscar, Ilha das Cabras, Praia das Enchovas, Praia Grande, Praia das pedras Miúdas, Praia do Portinho, Praia do Curral, Praia de Indaiaúba, Praia da Feiticeira, Praia do Bonete.
Most of the sandy beaches on the mainland side of the island are small, many of them private, occupied by hotels and houses, but they are no less beautiful. The color of the water is that beautiful greenish blue!
We recommend Praia do Julião if you want infrastructure such as bars and restaurants and Praia da Feiticeira if you prefer tranquility and a more paradisiacal atmosphere.
DAY 2
On the second day, if you're more into sightseeing, we recommend the Ilhabela State Park, Castelhanos Beach and Cachoeira do Gato. There are two options for getting there: by jeep (round trip) or by boat.
Considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil, Castelhanos Beach is a favorite of the off-road crowd. This is because the main access is via a 15km road that cuts across the island from west to east, through the lush Atlantic Forest flora of the Ilhabela State Park, and only 4×4 vehicles, motorcycles or bicycles are allowed. For the more courageous, it is possible to do the trail on foot.
The region's inhabitants are an old caiçara community, many of whom work to serve tourists in the various kiosks with bar and restaurant services and beach facilities. From there, you can take several trails to the neighboring beaches, such as Praia Mansa and Praia Vermelha. You can also visit Cachoeira do Gato, one of the largest waterfalls on the island, which can be seen from the sea. It is also worth visiting the Canto do Gato viewpoint, on the same path as the waterfall, for a beautiful panoramic view of Castelhanos Bay.
DAY 3
On the third day, if this is the day you're leaving, we recommend you go to a good beach in the north. There are many restaurants right on the sand with wonderful facilities and good drinks, such as: Restaurante do Viana, Balena, Guará and others.
If you have more time and like adventure: a coveted place to visit in Ilhabela is Bonete beach. It is even considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil by The Guardian newspaper. You can only reach it by boat or by taking a five-hour hike. It's 12 km one way, making a total of 23.4 km - what a hike!
We at Anamã Ilhabela look forward to welcoming you! Don't hesitate to talk to the host of your house, who will be sure to help you have a wonderful and enchanting time.
